I assume all of you had watched the latest series of Resident Evil. From the date of its release, I heard a lots of pros and cons about this movie from my friends. Those things don’t matter as it do not affect my mood to watch that movie. This is quite an old post as we,VistaCrew minus 1 person, went to watch this movie before Hari Raya. So, bear with me.

So, Resident Evil: Extinction start from where Resident Evil: Apocalypse end. Alice (Milla Jovocich) was wandering around the desert wastelands alone as she found of the corporate, Umbrella Corporation, is able to track her thru satellite. In the mean time, Dr. Sam Isaacs (Iain Glen) was able to create a cure for the infection by using Alice’s blood. This cure can only save what is left of humanity as well as tame the infected human (zombie). Unfortunately, the cure does not work 100% which restructure the Virus in the zombies and a strain of “super zombie” is created. Super Zombies are far more powerful and intelligence compare with zombies.

While wandering around the dessert, Alice meet up with a convoy lead by Claire Redfield while the convoy is been attack by a horde of infected crow. The appearance of Alice not only expose herself the corporate tracking system and also endanger the convoy as the Alice suggested to go to Alaska as there are living humans and is not infected.

What happen next? For those who haven’t watched the movie, go to the cinema nearby to watch the movie or download from the Internet or buy DVD/VCD from a movie store. For those who watched, feel free to comment.

This movie is different from the previous 2 series. Action, science fiction still got but it also added in some horror movie element like “Chen! Chen! Chen! Chen…. Bark!!!!” A zombie appears from nowhere. Still, I thought the story will end here but somehow they manage to find new inspiration to extent the series. Good jobs. Although some people do not like they change the original storyline but it a creative way to catch people attention. Who wanna watch the movie as the story is same as the novels and the games anyway? Still they used the character’s name in the novels and games in the movie. Even the creatures, monsters and the bosses also copy as same as the novels and games.

Alice (Milla Jovovich)

The primary protagonist who is being tracked down by the Umbrella Corporation in order to develop a serum from her blood. Since being exposed to the T-Virus outbreak in Raccoon City, Alice has been captured and subjected to experiments.

Claire Redfield (Ali Larter)

Based off the video game character of the same name, she plays a prominent role in Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica. In the film, she is a protagonist and leads a convoy of survivors alongside Carlos

Dr. Sam Isaacs *The one holding the Camera* (Iain Glen)

The primary antagonist, and head scientist of the North American facility. Dr. Isaacs had been involved in the creation of the Nemesis program as well as the creation of Program Alice in Apocalypse. He is turned into the Tyrant monster as a result of a bite by a “super-zombie”.

L-R : Carlos Olivera (Oded Fehr) and L.J. (Mike Epps)

Carlos :Ex-U.B.C.S. soldier, protagonist, and survivor of the Nemesis program as well as the “cleansing” of Raccoon City. Since the events of Apocalypse, he has helped lead Claire’s convoy of survivors.
L.J. :Former citizen of Raccoon City, who survived the Nemesis program and Raccoon City’s destruction in the previous film. He also travels with Claire’s convoy. He is Betty’s love interest.

Albert Wesker (Jason O’Mara)

Based off of the video game character of the same name, he is a prominent antagonist in many of the video games. In the film, he is the Chairman of Umbrella. His office is in Tokyo, Japan and through holographic technology, he has regular meetings with committee members including Dr. Isaacs who gave the order to find and capture Alice.

K-Mart ( Spencer Locke)

A girl found by Alice’s companions hiding out in a Kmart store prior to the outbreak.

Nurse Betty (Ashanti)

A tough young woman who acts as the medical unit in Claire’s convoy. She is a nurse, helping to aid members of the group to full recovery. Betty drives the paramedic vehicle and is a love interest of L.J..

Mikey (Chris Egan)

A young computer junkie who drives the “computer station” portion of the convoy. Mikey is responsible for monitoring the radio in search of other survivors as well as monitoring the motion sensor perimeter cameras.

White Queen *The girl in White dress* (Madeline Carroll)

The sister Artificial intelligence of the original Red Queen. She is designed to protect and preserve human life and monitor the Umbrella facility, like her sister computer, however, the White Qeen possesses more advanced holographic technology.
