A New SAGA Begins

Before the Langkawi Day 2 Trip Report, let’s take a glance at the highly anticipated 2nd generation Proton Saga. The new car was launched by our Prime Minister on 18/1/2007. It was previously codenamed BLM and is paved to replace the old Saga and Iswara line. More pictures after the jump!

From the exterior, it do looks quite trendy and luxurious. I personally like the new headlamps as it was both aesthetically and intelligently designed. The rear part of the car do have some shadows of the previous generation Mercedes Benz C-Class’ rear part. Though, it do makes the new Saga looks very elegant and I believe Proton has made it right to design a “People’s” car with top notch appearance. Internally, the car has a rather decent decoration from my point of view. Everything are quite standard. Suprisingly, Proton do put lots of efforts in trying to eliminate as much of it’s “Cheap” image on interiors this time. Anyway, the price tag do tends to be very competitive and attractive. So, let’s look and see how Proton would achieve with this new born child…

Check out about the car’s details at Paul Tan’s auto blog here!
