Lou Sang 2008
Written by Ph@ntoM on February 24, 2008 – 1:16 pm -During the 1st day of our new sem as well as Level 3, we VistaCrew and a few gangs went celebrating CNY at an open air restaurant namely Soon Fatt Seafood @ Sri Petaling. We settled down and ordered 8 dishes for that night! Of course, not forgetting the most important “ceremony” to be done… Lou Sang!!! Lou Yee Sang a.k.a Lau YuSheng is an unique culture practiced by Chinese all over Malaysia and Singapore… And for us, we’re “lou-ing” for great fortunes, good health and 1st class for our Final Year Projects… Haha!

Wanna check out more on what we ordered? Read more after the jump! (with photos and video!)
Starting our dishes, the 1st would be “Hot & Cold Combinaion”… A combination dish of 5 different favorites…

Next, “Kam Hiong Lala”… But just majority of clam shells only… Where’s the clam meats?

Continuing, Steamed Fish with Ginger Sauce… A decent dish in fact…

Now… our favorite! “Butter & Milk Sotong”… I rate it as the best dish that night…

Finally, “Pineapple Pork Ribs”… Not bad also…

Overall, the food was decent to be honest… Maybe due to CNY high demand period, thus the kitchen would be quite rushing in preparing dishes I guess…
Here’s a video shot during Lou Sang… Keke…
After the CNY dinner feast, it’s time to “Happy!!!”… Yeah… playing Black Jack @ Vista… Some ppl win, some ppl lose… but overall it was a fun night… Next, it’s “Chap Goh Meh” which will be the last day of CNY… stay tuned for photos of that day @ FGS Dong Zen Temple (东禅寺)…
(Sorry for the lousy translation as we dun really knew how to translate the dishes’ name in English :p)
