Circulating for months, the rumored replacement model for the decade-old Perodua Kembara has finally landed… It’s the all new 4WD - Perodua Nautica! And guess about the price tag… It’s RM89,900 inclusive insurance… hmm… interesting… In fact, Perodua claimed that the beast was mostly assembled in Japan! with several parts installed locally… Wow… It’s truly an unexpected approach… This means the car is an imported version of a Perodua car… or should be called as re-badge version? The car is identical to Toyota’s baby 4WD - Toyota Rush in many ways… Just that differences in front grill and bumpers, headlamps/taillamps as well a shorter wheelbase… The car comes with a 1.5L DVVT engine, same as the Rush as Avanza 1.5! I think the Perodua Nautica is going to be an interesting car, or perhaps a good alternative for those who wishes to buy something similar to Toyota Rush or Avanza but in favor of the “IMPORTED FROM JAPAN” tagline (Avanza is locally assembled… at Perodua’s plant! while Rush is built in Indonesia!)…
