Journey of Macau/Hong Kong (Hong Kong) Part 9
Written by A-lex on February 15, 2009 – 12:11 pm -
After 2 hours of boat speeding on the sea, we arrived safely at Hong Kong! We then follow the crowds and reach at MTR station. MTR station is Hong Kong Railway station, something like Singapore MRT and Malaysia LRT but Hong Kong MTR is fully underground. So, you can’t see train above you when you walking on the street.

Since we gonna travel around so we got ourselves one of their all-access card called Octopus. Octopus is like our Touch n’ Go card but they got more functionally than ours. They have the debit card function allowing people to buy stuff by using that card. You can check for other information at here.
We carry our big luggage, jamming with HK people just to get to our accommodation location. Phwuff~ Better than taking LRT, KTM or Putraline in Malaysia.
Still people like to squeeze their way in *Let the people off the train 1st, you idiot!*.
Here is where we stay at Hong Kong. Located at Mong Kok or Wong Kok. Very convenience as is near to MTR, foods, beverages, shopping * the lady street and the shoe street is just next to it*.
We drop our luggage; have some rest before we go for dinner. Today is Siang Chin’s birthday. So we gonna go find some nice places and foods to try out. According to what we found from research there is some restaurant at Canton Road which is nice and affordable. So, we decided to try it. So we take MTR till Tsim Sha Tsui and walk over there.

On the way to MTR station entrance.
Canton Road is full with branded stores and got quite lot of high class hotel there. You can see LV store in every building you can find along the street. CRAZY! I tell you. Still you can find a lot of different type of restaurants at that area from mid range till high end.

this hotel served nice afternoon tea
So, we found what we are looking for. But I got 1 question, why are those shops and stores closed at such early? We were there around 8.30pm and most of the stores are closing. Even the restaurant we tend to go got no people inside. Weird! Different cultural gua.
Let’s talk less and show more photos.

Although no cake or anything, but we still wish Siang Chin a happy very very very belated birthday! *after 1 month and 6 days late, LOL*. Still he get the best from VistaCrew as most of the time we gonna miss his birthday due to holiday. The 1st celebration with us and is oversea somemore. Lucky fellow! Hahaha….
Anyway, less continue.. After dinner, Ming Yuan lead us to a pier at Royal Pacific Hotel to have a glance at the Hong Kong Island. *Why he know, because he stay there before, the hotel next to it*
Next, we gonna show you the view of Hong Kong Island. From Kowloon.
