Written by A-lex on January 22, 2009 – 2:34 am -

This is what we have for our 1st meal at Macau. It is quite general type of food but it is what Macau and Hong Kong are famous with.

Wantan mee with pork hock

Dry Wantan mee

Wantan mee with pork

Rice with pork chop Japanese style

After filling our tummy with foods, we went on exploring the outer part of the hotel. Thought of walk to another hotel/resort nearby but due to time constraint we have to cancel that.

Amarin Heavenly Thai

Written by A-lex on August 16, 2008 – 12:10 am -

Amarin Heavenly Thai

Yesterday, we went to this particular Thai Cuisine Restaurant called Amarin Heavenly Thai to try out their foods in conjunction to celebrate our friend, Dason, belated birthday.
This restaurant served like those Chinese hawker where you and your family mostly go and can order few dishes type. So, you don’t order foods for individual unless is appetizer and dessert.

So, here is the food we ordered.

Appetizer

Chicken

Curry

TomYam Soup

Taufu

Vegetables

Dessert
Dessert

As you can see, the name looks kinda simple because I did not joint down the Thai name of the dishes. :P And it looks like it can be found at normal hawker center! That is a reason why cause not everyone can bare the spicyness of those dishes so we cut down on ordering those dishes.
Anyway, it is a nice place to eat as the price is quite average. Taste wise, next time just order TomYam Soup and the Curry, this two is the best!

Give it a try if you fancy curry and tomyam :P

Dinner @ Fong Lye Restaurant + Red Cliff

Written by Ph@ntoM on August 2, 2008 – 9:42 pm -

Okay. This is a delayed post. About a week or two earlier, we went to Mid Valley to watch the highly anticipated chinese epic movie of the year – Red Cliff… I could say that it is an awesome movie to watch (Another was The Dark Knight which was also a great movie to watch). Excellent story… Great cast and also… Stunning movie effects… Though not so many CGI effects compared to LOTR, Start Wars etc… but the scenes were absolutely stunning. Being a “Three Kingdoms” fan, watching this movie is really enjoying.

BBQ Plaza @ Sunway Pyramid

Written by Ph@ntoM on March 23, 2008 – 3:29 pm -

It’s been quite a while since the last post coz we’re quite busy lately for our Final Year Projects… Anyway, let’s rewind back a little… During some time a week before we had an unique lunch session… Since there was a large gap in between our timetable that day, we decided to travel to Sunway Pyramid just for lunch! Siao isit? Ok lah… Just going to try out BBQ Plaza… Coz never eat before… Keke…

We split into 2 cars driving down Kesas Highway… The traffic was amazingly smooth and we arrived soon there. Parked at the new wing, we were quite stunned by the stylishly decorated extension. We found BBQ Plaza and settled in quickly…

We ordered 2 family sets with Pork and Beef. Let’s start grilling!

It was indeed a unique way to “Da Bin Lou”… No butter or oil for cooking… Just use pork lard! I believe it was originated from Thailand as waitress keeps greeting customers “Sa-Wa-Dee-Kap!”… Haha!

The meats are fresh indeed… Other side dishes are also nice… But I think the best would be their sauce! You can “campur” garlics, chili padi and lime into the sauce… A unique taste to savor!

Know what? we just spend less than half an hour to finish off everything! Whoa… a bunch of hungry wolves… LOL! After the lunch, we spent some time “Long Gai” and finally set off back to college for another boring session to attend… Ha!
